Allègre
Remains
The fortified Portal said of Mr (classified historic monument), South of the outer wall of the Castle portal. It was built between 1365 and 1435.
Mr was the Lord in title, baron then marquis of Allègre depending on the period, usually the eldest son. Almost intact, with its two towers to the chemin de ronde once embattled, it is pierced with low slits transformed into gunboats in the 15th century, for skimming shots. It gives a pretty accurate idea of what were the defenses South of the vast Castle of Allègre rebuilt to 1365.
Trefles machicolations, are the signature of the castle of Allègre. Above the door a deadfall, or a breteche, completed the central vertical device.
The slide of the Harrow is in perfect condition, as the old oak door hinges and the lodging of three iron bars that blocked the opening.
Its metal steeple above the clock dates from 1816, date engraved on the lintel of the door that accesses to the top of a stone staircase remained intact, at the top of the Sailhans - Mozac, current Café du Marché Hotel.
The departure of visible walls on the basis of the two towers are the remains of weep holes who defended this door access. The site of the weep holes was built, in 1820, a halle aux grains, covered with a roof frame carried by stone pillars with one long remained on the square. The Hall was demolished in 1953.
Door of Ravel (crenellated Tower): entrance North of the Castle, symmetrical to the door of Mr South. This awkward carts passing, yet wider of 30cm. the door of Mr, it was demolished in 1845. She was... It retained this tower which we guess still the location of the Harrow and equipment identical to the door of Mr.
