In the footsteps of former miners, antimony mine, lead and silver from the
Ally Rodde
Rediscovered at the end of the 19th century, this deposit vein quartz-barite gangue metallic poly was the subject of an intense operation until 1905.
These modern works, carried out according to the rules of the art of mining, allowed to find up to great depths under the mountain of old books.
The 200 meters of galleries stage on two levels released since 1996, offer full-scale, in their geological context, these various mining developments: extraction, chimney ventilation shaft, through bench, Gallery of elongation depilages.

Equipped like the real minor and accompanied by a geologist, back on the workers of the 19th century, no extract antimony and lead ore. Your journey through time will make you even go back
until the time of the first farms of the Lode, 2000 years ago. Throughout the course, let yourself be guided by the explanations of an enthusiast who will also tell the minerals in their geological context.
Windmills (guided tour of three quarters of an hour)
Much more than a simple visit, a home pay-per-view and comments illuminated an intelligent time. Discover the ingenuity of its mechanism in wood dating back to the beginning of the 19th century as well as the Miller sound work, real Tamer of winds. You may see even the mill sweeping the sky with its wings topped with thin boards: a curiosity!
Recently, around Ally, four mills have regained their silhouette of origin. Very soon, each of them will be equipped to welcome you in its own way: two mills in cottages, a mill to lyrics and a panoramic mill...
This exceptional site allows also to feel the mining atmosphere and to remember the hard work of our ancestors.
